About this role
We are looking for a Printer Operator to run our eco-solvent, UV, latex, DTF, sublimation and textile digital printers. - Media Loading: Load vinyl, flex, canvas, sticker, textile and backlit media, ensuring proper alignment
- RIP & Printing: Take files from the RIP operator, set speed, passes and ink limit, and start the print
- Colour Monitoring: Watch colour during the print, and stop and report any banding, nozzle drop or colour shift
- Machine Startup & Shutdown: Do daily cleaning, nozzle check and test print before starting a job
- Quality Control: Check prints for scratches, lines, colour accuracy and registration
- Finishing Support: Assist with trimming, cutting and lamination after printing
- Target Achievement: Complete assigned jobs according to the production plan and delivery time
- Waste Control: Minimise media and ink waste, and report excessive wastage
- Daily Maintenance: Carry out head cleaning, wiper cleaning, capping station cleaning and lubrication
- Minor Troubleshooting: Clear paper jams, refill ink, change media and handle basic errors
- Report Breakdowns: Inform the technician or supervisor immediately about major faults
- Safety: Use gloves and mask, handle solvents and ink carefully, and follow fire safety rules
- 5S: Keep the machine area clean and organised
