Responsibilities

• Quran Teaching: Teach Nazra Quran to students from Class 1 to Class 8/10
• Tajweed: Teach correct pronunciation, Makharij, Qawaid and the rules of Tajweed
• Hifz Support: Support Hifz students with revision, Sabqi and Manzil
• Duas & Kalmas: Teach daily duas, the 6 Kalmas, Namaz and basic Islamic etiquette
• Character Building: Teach Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ, stories of the Sahaba and Islamic manners
• Assessment: Conduct weekly and monthly tests, maintain the student progress register, and report to parents and the Principal
• Assembly: Lead the morning assembly with Tilawat, Naat and Hadith
• Five Daily Prayers: Lead Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha in the school mosque
• Friday Sermon: Deliver the Jummah Khutba in Arabic and Urdu, covering topics such as Akhlaq, Namaz and Akhirah
• Azan & Iqamat: Give the Azan and lead the congregation
• Masjid Maintenance: Keep the mosque clean and ensure the wudu area, mats and lights are in order
• Janaza & Dua: Lead Janaza prayers and special duas when needed at the school
• Islamic Events: Organise Mehfil-e-Milad, Khatam-e-Quran, Ramadan programmes and Seerat programmes
• Discipline: Maintain discipline during prayer and class time
• Parent Meeting: Guide parents on their child's Quran progress
• Record Keeping: Maintain attendance, result sheets and Quran completion certificates
• Counselling: Provide Islamic guidance to students facing behavioural issues

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent
• 4 to 5 years of teaching experience in a school or madrassa
• Fluent Nazra with Tajweed
• Good voice and command, patience with children, and basic Urdu speaking
• Punctual for the five daily prayers and of good character
